Timeline of the Key Events

2008
June: Bosch and Samsung SDI sign joint venture agreement.
August: Anti-trust approvals (EU & Korea) receive.
September 1st: SB LiMotive Co. Ltd. begins operations in Korea.
October 27th: Formation of SB LiMotive Germany GmbH.

2009
July 13th: Acquisition of Cobasys LLC.
September 10th: Groundbreaking of cell manufacturing plant in Ulsan, Korea.

2010
November 10th: Cell manufacturing plant in Ulsan taken into operation.

Company Sites
The headquarters of SB LiMotive is located in Giheung, Korea
where also the R&D and the pilot manufacturing line of lithium-ion cells
are located. Cell mass manufacturing takes place in Ulsan, Korea. Another location is Stuttgart, Germany where battery system
development, marketing and sales are located.
Two further locations are in the U.S.
In Orion, Michigan battery system development is located and in Springboro, Ohio NiMH battery cell, module, pack and system manufacturing is located.

Employees of SB LiMotive:
Currently about 850 people are working on the sites in Giheung, Ulsan, Stuttgart, Orion and Springboro.

Mass Production
Production of pre-series Cells already started.

Pack production will be located close to customer site.

Investment
USD 500 Mio. over the first 5 years.
